”Humans lived in peace for over 4000 years, each nation in harmony with each other… ” the voice continued, as the strange entity continued its attempt at brainwashing him.

”The Ryka first started communication with the human race through structures known as wesen pools. Large bodies of pure energies, from which messages in the form of waves were sent out, ” Leonidas tried turning his head and found that a jolt of electricity was sent throughout his body.

”Stop this! ” he shouted, it felt as if his brain were melting as the entity tried to alter it.

”The Ryka offered humans the power of their pools, and in exchange they wanted us to do research that they claimed would benefit both sides, ” the voice continued. Leonidas tried closing his eyes, but the machine he was strapped to had his eye pried open, forcing him to watch.

”They manipulated the human race into opening portals through the wesen pools, allowing them into our world, ” the voice continued. At this point, Leonidas could feel his mind slipping, if it was not for his will, he wouldve already succumbed.

”The Ryka betrayed the human race and began indiscriminately slaughtering earth life. Among the Ryka, the most troublesome race were the Leviathans, who could flatten whole countries by themselves. ”

The images being displayed portrayed massive creatures the size of whole lakes. These creatures caused earthquakes as they moved, slaughtering thousands of humans with just a single step.

This wasn a new scene to Leonidas. As a Spartan, he once had the power to flatten entire empires in the same way. He knew of spells that could completely wipe entire continents if they did not have the necessary protections.

”The human race was pushed to the brink of extinction, hiding in the crevices of the world while biding their time, ” the robotic voice continued. By now Leonidas had thought up a way to prevent the entity from going through his mind any longer. He switched his mind off.

He allowed himself to fall into a state of coma, leaving his mind an almost blank slate.

He moved his consciousness to a small corner of his mind, hidden deep within himself. Such was the power of the greatest Spartan of his world, one who had been under mind attacks countless times.

From what he could hear from his small corner, the Ryka were not just a single race, but many races. They all came from different worlds, seeking the same thing on earth… a new home.

Apparently, this earth was a thousand times larger than his old world, from what he could tell. There were more than a thousand continents and many more kingdoms. This perhaps was the only reason why these humans had not yet succumbed to the Ryka.

While the documentary played, Leonidas had a few of his questions answered. It seemed that this world had no mana, but instead wesen. And based on the fact he could not incant any of his Spartan spells, he hypothesized that wesen was a completely different energy from mana, not just in name.

By now the entity had completely rearranged every part of his mind outside of his small corner. It had thought itself victorious and retreated from his mind.

Once it was gone, he took back control of his mind, using mind magic concepts from his old world to make sure he was not caught out. The mind was much like a house, and mind magic rearranged its furniture to manipulate ones consciousness. He made sure to make note of what had been rearranged, before properly settling in.

”The United Humanic Kingdom was founded to win back our territories. The war against the Ryka has been going on for 400 years, and the warlocks are not enough. Hence the special breed project was founded. Half human, half Ryka, their bodies are able to withstand a considerable amount of wesen, as well as mechanical implants, ”

”The human race hopes to use this new line of soldiers to slay the Leviathans, and finally end the war, ” the computer finished talking, now portraying the picture of men shrouded in metal suits, with lights of different colors glowing under their masks.

After this, the screen went black, and darkness filled the room. A moment later, a section of the wall in front of him slid to the side, letting light into the room.

”Well, were you successful? ” a massive man asked as he walked into the room with his hands behind his back. The captain followed quickly behind him, trying to keep up with the massive mans long strides.

”General Cadmus, we had our best mind arcanists on the job, we are certain it worked, ” the captain spoke quickly, clearly painting a picture of who the senior was.

”So this… thing, is zero nine? ” Cadmus said, the hulking figure standing over Leonidass metal chair.

”This is project zero nine, yes General, ” the captain replied.

”All that money, and all we get is a scrawny kid? ” Cadmus asked, looking toward the captain, he was clearly unimpressed.

”Its not a kid, Cadmus, ” another voice responded, this one was a womans and it came from behind the General.

”General Mishca, I was not told you would be coming, ” the captain stuttered, apparently he feared the woman even more than the man.

”What are you doing here Mischa, I thought the King made it clear that this one would be going into my sections arsenal, ” Cadmus said, his words causing the entire chamber to suddenly rise in temperature.

”If the project shows to have an affinity linked to ice, then it will be under my section… those are the words of the king, ” the woman replied, walking to stand beside Cadmus.

Cadmus stood at 2.6 meters tall, a beast in comparison to the 1.5-meter-tall Mischa. Though they seemed to be on equal footing, as Cadmus did not try to stand over her as he did with the captain.

”So, wake it up. I want to see if the procedure really was successful, ” Mishca said, turning to look at the captain. The captain made a gesture towards the metallic walls of the room, almost as if there were people watching behind them, and Leonidass chair charged with electricity, forcing him to open his eyes.

”Zero nine, stand up, ” the captain called out. From what Leonidas could read of the mind magic that had manipulated him, he was to follow orders without question. So as soon as the fastenings that held him down were loosened, he stood up.
