The weak breeze whispers silently while the night sky blinds the eye as I hear aimless walks into the heart of the night. The moonlit sky had been completely swallowed into the darkness as the sound of footsteps lessened like gears coming to a stop. ”You ready to go or what? ” the detective says.

We walked toward the gloomy glim restaurant where the gruesomeness took place, police tape covering almost everything. It looked like they built a baracide of tape around the entire area with the sheer amount they used. It was horror. We walked there silently as all the officers gave me harsh stares. ”Who let a freak in here? ” Someone laughed.

”Hes with me. ”

”Detective, with all due respect, are you really? ”

”Yes, I am. ”

”Are you serious right now? ”

”Yes, of course. ”

As we walked down the hallway toward the twisted, distorted staircase into the unknown. The other officers remained silent, their voices stripped from them as if they had all gone mute. While we went down the stairs, I could feel the temperature rising as the hot wind blew at us. The more we went down, the more it would become apparent that it was getting hot. It felt as though we were walking around in a furnace. The heat was terrible. I learned the source of this while we went deeper into this fire pit. Crazy noises were coming from the HVAC system that sounded like an attempt at airflow. However, the only noises heard were grinding and grating noises that were similar to mouse squeals. The smell stenching from them emitted an odor synonymous with rotten eggs. You could tell the systems were damaged from the exchange. ”And here we are. ” The detective said. The oddly, six lifeless bodies were lined up on the ground, their torsos all painted with bullet holes. The rancid smell stenched in dried-up darkness. ”Could you run me through the story again, ” I asked?

”To put it short, we all believe those men shot each other to death. ”

”And why is that? ”

”Multiple Eyewitnesses. ”

”They said that they all had no idea where the shots came from. ”

”So this was during operating hours? ”

I examined the bodies closely like a doctor handling a delivery. Upon discovery, I learned that all six men were armed with similar handguns resembling corresponding pieces of a puzzle. However, the pistols they were armed with did not match the bullet wounds inflicted upon their torso, and they were all complete with ammo. New like a fresh pack of cigarettes left untouched. This led me to believe there must have been a 7th person involved. ”You

A ringing alarm sirens, the detectives phone, and the sound of a walkie-talkies screeching tone sounds along upstairs and echoes across the restaurant, becoming apparent where we were standing. ”You will have to hold that thought, R. It seems there is an active armed robbery at the Fifth Third Bank. ” The detective said.

As the restaurant began to empty, I had started to make my move escaping the hellish heavy heat. After leaving the restaurant, I became rebuilt piece by piece from experiencing the cold again. I had long since forgotten the dark and cold touch of the night. It had awakened the fire inside me in this Endless Hour.
