Julia never allowed him to break the silence that being in place ever since they left the hospital. Instead, she broke it herself.

”Now, you may go, Carl! ” she said.

”You have done me a great favour tonight. ”

Carl appeared to be stunned by her statement nevertheless, he concurred. ”Sure! ” he said.

”Can you take it from here? ”

His eyebrows were raised as he spoke.

”Yes, I can! ” replied the Omega.

She turned her back on him to leave but, Carl reacted immediately.

”Wait! ”

He walked up to her.

”Are you sure you are doing the right thing? Don you think you need extra hands at this moment? ”

He was not sure of what her answer could be.

He was only looking for an opportunity to spend more time with his crush and a potential mate.

Julia was not in the mood tonight to entertain anyone. She had just recovered and needed to be home as soon as possible. This was the reason why she wasted no time after hearing Carls persuasive words.

”You might be right but Im fine! ”

She looked at him intently for a few seconds and said, ”I will be fine. Thank you once more for all you have done tonight! ”

She eased a smile with difficulty before turning around to continue her journey.

Carl watched as Julia continued walking away from him into the thin air. He never took his eyes off her like he was waiting for her comeback. However, she never did until he could not see her anymore.

Alone on the road, Julia walked with agility.

It was impossible to believe that such a fellow was a victim of gunshots a couple of hours ago.

Anyone who sees her at that moment will probably shrive in fear because to they thought her fit was supposedly unattainable.

In the still dark she walked until she met the street light again.

She followed the trail of the street light in the direction of her home.

There was absolute silence in the neighbourhood as she walked, only the hoots of an owl could be heard.

Julia was still mesmerized by the strength of her wolf.

She was not expecting a quick recovery given that her wolf was considered weak. Now, all of that has changed.

It was this thought that dominated her mind all the time she was walking alone, back home.

She had barely walked about a kilometre when she spotted a dark figure standing a few distances away.

She wondered who it could be since she wasn expecting anyone.

The figure stood about fifty metres away therefore, it was impossible to tell who it was, although she was about to find out.

She walked fearlessly forward towards the direction of the figure.

Yes, she walked like the whole land was hers because she was not scared.

Perhaps, it could be the little magic she witnessed tonight on her injured body that has given her enough confidence. It has indeed boosted her self-esteem or her self-confidence.

Despite a boost in her self-confidence, she was no match for what was standing not too far from her.

She has no idea!

But he got to keep moving with her head held high and never taking off his eyes on the strange figure.

Only when she was about ten metres away from the figure did she realise that indeed, there was no stranger.

The so-called stranger was no one else but Alpha Troy.

Yes, the same Alpha Troy that got her into the mess she was in that night.

Julia was not going to take it easy with her.

She was not just pissed off by his presence but she felt disgusted.

”How dare you show your ugly face, you bastard! ”

She howled at him in anger.

It was the first time, Julia came close to losing them all!

She has never been that way, it was Troys earlier action that got her very mad at him.

”Easy, Julia! ”

He raised one of his hands as he spoke. The raised hand was meant to calm Julia.

”How dare you show your ugly face after all you did? ” she queried.

She never moved. She stood at a spot only a few meters away from him.

”As I said, easy, Julia! ” he continued.

He smiled.

”I know that this shit was gonna happen anyway. But, Im here to apologise to you and not to make any case. ”

Julia fumed in anger.

”Maybe you should take your apologies with you to the pit of hell!

I don give a damn! ”

”We are not gonna have any problems, are we? ”

He asked with a voice that tells them all–he was not ready to give up soon on the Omega.

”You are not gonna reject me because of what has happened? ”

”Wow! ”

She exclaimed.

”Incredible! I mean, what do you think? Do you think from your brains or your ass? ”

Julia stopped at nothing just to let him know how bad she felt seeing him.

”I know how you feel but, I hope we can sort this out right now! ” he said

He smiled to himself. It was a smile that Julia never noticed because she was so engrossed in her anger.

”You saw what happened, didn you? You saw how powerful I was, didn you? Thats the kind of mate you need. You need protection in strong hands! ”

His ego only got worse. As long as it does, the Omega gets madder at him.

”You put a bullet through my chest, remember that? ”

She bent her neck slightly towards his direction as if she was trying to induce a quick response from him.

”Julia, I think you should be somewhere right now partying and having some good times and not complaining! ”

His words did not go down well with her.

”You should be in jail for murder! You bastard!

Jails are made for people like you!

I wonder how you were able to escape from the police! ”

Her insulting words were supposed to get Troy angry. But, he never did. Instead, he brushed it off and laughed.

”Do you think that was going to be easy, Julia?

Do you think I would let those humans lay their filthy hands on me and throw me into their dirty jail?

Hell no! I can let them do that! ” he declared.

”Then you must be a fugitive! ” said the Omega.

An immediate silence ensued. It was not clear what Troy was gonna do next. Nevertheless, his smiles vanished. He began walking in the direction of the Omega.

Was he going to confront Julia and start a real fight with the weak Omega?
