A month passed since the class competition.
I’ve been avoided by my classmates ever since that day.
Well, it’s inevitable that I’m being avoided if I went that far though.

However, there’re several people who’ll talk even to such me normally.
My team members, Ely, Rene and Dargris are a given, Cait and Shizuku who are sitting in the seats behind, Birdon, and somehow even Emma started talking to me.
I don’t know the reason but, Emma who was avoiding me, albeit little by little, has started talking to me.
I’m a little touched.
Shizuku and Birdon as well, they tell me that they’ll duel me because it’ll serve as training for them.
I’m grateful for that.
Even with such things happening, I was somehow getting on with my academy life.

Even though I say ‘academy life’, I’m just ordinarily taking lectures, taking martial arts and magic practical skills lessons, nothing different in particular.
I recall Shishou saying that the objective of this academy is to make it so that you can survive no matter where you go.

Be it nobles or commoners, in this world where there’re monsters, all lives are equal when push comes to shove.
She says this academy exists to impart the strength to think and act by oneself and the strength to fight back so that one doesn’t panic when a worst case scenario occurs.
And so that those who graduated can protect others.

Although it’ll be great to build even more academies, it’s not possible due to various circumstances, Shishou said.

Hence, without regards to whether if it’s a noble or a commoner, skill or unskilled, they’re made to learn martial arts and magic practical skills.
At the very least, so that they can protect themselves.
I look at my status as I’m thinking about such things.

In regards to the status’ values, ever since it increased after the time with the vampire four years ago, it’s gradually increasing year by year.

Skill levels as well, there’re those that increased quite a bit and those that not so much.
I guess this is probably the compatibility issue.
In the ‘The One Without Limits’ explanation column, skills that I have no compatibility with changed from unlearnable to difficult to learn so, I guess that’s probably it.

“Lei, there’s trouble!”

Dargris whose face changed colour came over.
Rene’s also behind him.
By the way, Ely’s sleeping in the seat beside me.
Except during lessons, she’s basically always sleeping.

“Did something happen?”

I ask Dargris and

“We’ve got no money!”

he shouts.
……Huh? I wonder what’s that about.
Rene only nods even when I look towards her.
I try asking in detail what in the world is it about.

I’d heard before that the two of them came out from a village that’s somewhere about a week away on a carriage and thus the both of them are currently living in the dormitory.

And then they were promised allowance by their parents when they left the village but, it seems the postal carrier that was commissioned to send that allowance was attacked by monsters and the baggage are all gone.
Apparently, this entire year worth of allowance was inside and it’s all gone.

An amount of money to live a year in the Royal Capital is quite a large sum of money.
It seems it’s also tough on both their families’ budget to send that amount of money again so it seems a letter saying that they won’t be able to send an allowance this year came.
……Looks like the letter arrived.
Thus, that’s the situation just now.

“This is terrible! If it carries on like this, Rene and I are going to die in the streetss~!”

he shouts.
U~n, what should we do.
As I’m thinking about that, Ely who had woken up before we knew, opens her mouth.

“In that case, you can just earn it at the Adventurer’s Guild.
I’m doing that”

……There’s that option! I’ve completely forgotten about it.
That’s right, if they take on an Adventurer’s Guild’s request then they can earn a day’s worth of food expense and such.

“I see! There’s that option huh! I totally didn’t think of that!”

“Yeah.
At our current age, we can enter by ourselves even without our parents’ consent, furthermore, if our opponents are monsters, we’ll also be able to test our strength so it might be good huh”

Looks like the two of them are on board.
Rather, Ely’s an adventurer as well huh.
Furthermore, it seems she’s currently living by herself.

“Alright! Let’s go to the Adventurer Guild after school! We have to earn some money no matter what!”

says spiritedly.
Looks like Rene’s up for it as well.
And then the two of them who look at me.
……Could it be, I’m also going? As we’re talking about that

“You’re talkin’ bout some interesting things huh.
Please lemme in on it as well!”

On second look, everyone on Cait’s team is here.
……I guess this means everybody’s going? Thus, it’s decided that we’ll go to the Adventurer Guild after school.
