Without the SUV, they could only continue their journey on foot.
As they gradually approached the city from the suburbs, the outline of the city emerged in their eyes.
Zhao Sihui breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the familiar high-rise buildings.

Although the plants in this city had evolved in size as well, they were far less exaggerated than those in City M.

There was dead silence in the city.
No one could be seen on the street.
Jin Yang controlled his fully automatic wheelchair to move forward slowly.
Zhao Qiyang took out his precious gun in his hand and watched his surroundings vigilantly.

Suddenly, a huge gray mouse squeaked as it emerged from the uncovered manhole by the roadside and leaped at the hem of Jin Yang’s pants.

Zhao Sihui was quick to react.
She kicked hard at the mouse’s abdomen, causing the mutated beast from the gutter to scream in pain, and after a few moments of glaring at them with its red eyes, it dived right back into the sewer.

“I think there’s something strange here, too,” Zhao Sihui said worriedly to Jin Yang as she looked around.

“Sis, you are just too cautious, thinking that there is something strange everywhere,” Zhao Qiyang snorted.
“But there is something strange everywhere these days; in fact, there is nowhere that isn’t strange.”

Just as the two were arguing, Jin Yang, who was moving in front of them, stopped his wheelchair abruptly, sensing that something was wrong.
Ever since he entered the city, he had been having a nagging feeling that they had overlooked something, and there was a sense of discomfort emerging from the bottom of his heart.

Yin Yiliu looked up at him, wondering why he had suddenly frowned.

“Your sister is right.
Be careful.”

Jin Yang’s expression slightly darkened.
He had a sharp intuition.
As they continued towards the city, he could sense that there was something wrong.

After hearing that even Jin Yang had said so, Zhao Qiyang didn’t dare to joke around anymore.
The three people and two animals walked into the City W with caution.

Thousands of miles away, a man standing in a high place was staring in the direction of Jin Yang and his group.
He was thin and short, and his entire cheeks were shriveled as if he was malnourished, but he had a pair of conspicuous and terrifying bulging eyes.

His eyes were like convex floating mirrors.
Jin Yang’s figure could be faintly reflected even from such a distance.
His huge yellow eyes slowly rotated, and he said while watching,

“A total of three people and a mutated animal.”

As he spoke, the young man with spiked hair and in a fancy shirt next to him tapped a pen on the desk and scribbled in a notebook.

“There’re two men and one woman.
The mutated animal is black and looks like a dog or leopard.
It’s not big in size, so the danger level should be low.
One of the men is in a wheelchair…”

“Stop, stop, stop!” The man tapped his pen faster on the desk.
“In a wheelchair? Did you see that correctly? They came from City M.”

The giant tree stood exactly between the two cities.
When they first discovered this tree, it wasn’t that big yet.
They were caught off guard and lost many of their comrades there.

Later, after making enough preparations, they still failed to get rid of the weird tree and suffered yet another big loss.
Now that City M had been surrounded by mutated plants, no one had come from there in a long time.

They speculated that the people in the city were all dead.

Unexpectedly, Wind Eye noticed a group of people coming out of City M today.
The moment Jin Yang and the others stepped into their city, the man with the codename ‘Wind Eye’ had been observing their every move.

The man’s ability was the mutation in his eyes.
When he used his ability, his eyes swelled, and a thick yellow dark mist in the depths of his pupils flowed constantly, which looked very strange.

Except for his keen eyesight, his body was so weak that the slightest bump could break his wrist, so the higher-ups specially sent the spiky-haired man over to record his words.

When Wind Eye was interrupted, he glanced at his partner with a puzzled look on his face and said with a rare tone of pride in his voice, “I have never seen anything wrong.”

“Then tell me, how did a person in a wheelchair escape from City M under the attack of the mutated tree?”

Wind Eye shrugged.
It was not part of his job to find out about this.
His big and cloudy eyes continued to peep at Jin Yang and his teammates.
His eyes suddenly fell on a squirming white lump in the man’s arms, and after a pause, he said, “Wait, wait.
There are two mutated animals, no, this isn’t right, this one doesn’t look like a mutated animal…”

The prickly-haired man was a little annoyed, but Wind Eye continued to mutter to himself, “Impossible, how could it be so small?”

He wanted to take a closer look, but as his eyes fell on the lap of the man in the wheelchair once again, the young man suddenly raised his head.
A pair of sharp eagle eyes penetrated the air and met the eyes of Wind Eye.

Wind Eye was so shocked that he took a step back and accidentally stepped on the foot of the man behind him.

“The hell is wrong with you today?”

“He saw me.” Wind Eye closed his yellow eyes, his voice was shaky.
“He saw me just now.”

His words astounded the prickly-haired man as well.
“Impossible.
Are you thinking too much?”

Wind Eye was the only person he had ever seen with such incredible vision.
And he had gotten his eyesight by sacrificing his other facial features.
Since Wind Eye gained the ability of his eyes, his entire face began to shrink, and his facial features became wrinkled and distorted.
His eyes grew bigger and scarier as if they were absorbing all of his energy.

While Jin Yang and the others were moving forward cautiously, he suddenly stared in the direction of a very tall building that looked like a star-rated hotel before the apocalypse.

Yin Yiliu didn’t know what was happening, so she stood on tiptoe and stared in the same direction, but she couldn’t see anything.

“What’s wrong?” Zhao Sihui inquired.

Jin Yang retracted his gaze, shook his head slowly, and said, “I keep feeling that something is staring at us.”

When the Zhao siblings heard Jin Yang say this, they immediately raised their guards.
In their subconscious minds, Jin Yang’s intuitions and decisions were often accurate.
