Panting sounds were heard from a young man in his early 30s. He bore great resemblance to the older of the two consciousness. In his hand was a fencing sword, his smooth face glistening in sweat . He helped his fencing partner get up and gave him a thumbs up. His sparring partner took off his fencing mask and it turned out to be a blonde girl.

” Youve made great progress. Your skills are comparable to a fencing deity. Even I am not worthy of being your sparring partner ” . She smiled. ” Zack, tomorrow is your moment of truth and its the perfect time to convince the core elders of the league of scientists to partner with our company ”.

” Yeah, I look forward to seeing that happen ” He said thoughtfully.

” Liz ”. he smiled. ”Dad and Uncle would be proud of us ”.

”Ive met with the boss of the Double silencer guard. He told me hes going to send his VIP guards over ”. Liz said while taking off her chest piece.

” Thats great ” Zack said.

After putting away their fencing kits, they walked out of the large hall that served as their fencing hall. ” Can we trust the boss of the Double silencer guards ” . Liz asked as they walked towards a dome shaped glass house .

” Cain should pose no threat to Dillon and his boys ” Zack said, his facial expression betraying his statement. ” He might be sly but Dillon has many aces up his sleeves ”. said Liz, noticing the awkward look on his face.

They greeted some of the laboratory workers as they walked through the large hallways of the glass house and entered a big room filled with laboratory equipments and different contraptions. They got to an isolated part of the experiment hall which served as their workspace. The workspace had a digital desk with a built-in tablet. After a few clicks on the tablet, a drawer was automatically pulled out from the digital desk. Seeing that the drawers contents had been emptied out, Zack smiled.

He turned to look at Liz . ”Seems like things are going as planned ” . ” Yeah ” She said, smiling.

He pointed at a glass compartment housing a chimpanzee which doesn seem to moving, Intravenous tubes connected to its vitals. ”Its been 2 hours that Ive administered the serum to that chimp ”. He said, typing away on the tablet. Liz moved towards the digital desk to have a good glimpse of what Zack was doing.

Specimen X terminated . The laboratorys AI announced. ”The serum I tested on the chimp was what I used as a bait ”. Zack said. ” How does it work ”. asked Liz. ” It works exactly like the real serum, just that after making the vitals reach their full potential, they start to wither ”. He said, walking away from the digital desk.
