Nuzar was surprised that he could defeat the middle aged man—His father . The man was a power level higher than him; an intermediate tier mortal. A strike from an intermediate tier mortal could weigh around 45–50kg and that of a basic tier mortal weighs about 25–30kg. Although he was a fencing guru from his previous life, he had never wielded a real sword ; only a fencing sword, fighting someone stronger than him was far beyond his capabilities but his skills made up for the difference in strength.

He had spent a month with his new family. He had learnt a lot of things pertaining to the world he was transmigrated to. The middle aged man he just had a spar with was of great help as he knew more about the ancient continent than his son. He was also the one that explained the strengths and shortcomings of each power levels clearly to him.

Speaking of kilograms… this is one of the standard unit measurements used in my previous life… He thought. ” Theres more to this world than it meets the eye. This is really strange ”. He muttered. Nuzar was right. It just didn make any sense. This world was an ancient world and he could not think of any word other than strange . An ancient world like this using modern measurements used in his previous life was something that troubled him greatly. There must be a link between the two worlds and today he plans to unravel this mystery.

There was a reason why he told Rana that he wanted sometime alone. The truth was he found an ancient manuscript in a basement apartment under his room. The previous Nuzar was the one who told him about the manuscript and where he could find it. The manuscript was like a manual explaining some hidden truth and the way of life of the people of the ancient continent

There were Seven strong empires in Virama, The ancient continent. They are also classified as Major Empires. All of them equal in power, affluence and Natural resources. The seven Major Empires were; Misr, Alamut, Vlam, Bahrra, Ghrum, Albion and Nimueh. Each of these empires have their celestials except for Bahrra. Bahrra was the name of the barbarian empire. The reason for Bahrra having no celestial was that it was a new generation empire. Celestials were higher beings that controlled the lifestyle of the mortals dwelling in the ancient continent.

” Celestials huh? Sounds like the God concept used by religious fellas. ” The present Nuzar never believed in things that can be explained by science, but now he needs to start believing in those stuffs. ”That guy proved to be a little useful. ” He mumbled as he turned over the page of the manuscript. No doubt, the guy he was referring to was the previous Nuzar who had given him some information about this world—The ancient continent. From the many informations the previous Nuzar had given him, he learnt that he was in possession of an antique—The manuscript. One that was sought by many antique hunters.

The previous Nuzar had one secret that was known to himself only—He was an antique hunter. A job that was frowned upon by many. Apart from being an apprentice physician, he was also an antique hunter.

One eventful day, he was on his usual hunts when he encountered some renowned antique hunters that worked for a notorious merchant. The wealthy merchant was someone that owned a black market in one of the lower towns. He got in a scuffle with the hunters over the sharing formula used by the antique hunters in sharing the treasures found. The violent struggle between the previous Nuzar and the antique hunters was what made him fall into an unconscious state, but at least had his hands on the manuscript.

The ancient continent was a mysterious place. The term ancient continent was coined by a mysterious man named Haz. But that wasn the only term he coined. The use of standard unit of measurements that were too similar to the ones used in Nuzars previous life. Haz was the first Emperor of the Misrian empire. He invented many gadgets that seemed too advanced for an era like this. The idea of enhancing the human body was adopted by him—The body and soul constipation technique. Rumor had it that he was a mortal at first before turning to a Celestial. He was Misrs patron celestial.

Haz was an inventor but that wasn what made him known in the ancient continent. His name rang bells in the hearts of mortals because he was a celestial—A high tiered Celestial. Celestials were classified the same way mortals were placed into phylum.

The name Haz was not to be spoken lightly. Haz was the personification of celestials. Being a high tiered celestial, his wife was also a celestial, albeit a low tiered one. There was always a New year ritual where Patron celestials would be summoned in their respective Empires. They are to be summoned by the emperors court advisers who were usually High tiered sorcerers. After which the emperor would request anything from the celestial, placing their tributes on an alter that had runic inscriptions in exchange for goodies from the celestial.

” Very much Interesting. ” Nuzar smiled. ” For it to be written in this manuscript….it can only mean….the celestial stuffs might be real. ” He nodded thoughtfully. He flipped through the pages of the manuscript hoping to see something that linked his previous world and this one together until he set his eyes upon a folded old sheet of paper. He pried open the paper and a map was seen—A very detailed map.

It was safe to say that the map was not part of the manuscript. It also was not a Peters projection type. It was a very detailed one, reminiscent of a traditional map. The map showed all the empires, rivers, mountains e.t.c in detailed forms. It was an ideal one for a traveller.

Nuzar picked up the map and hid it in a black jar at his bedside table, after which he continued flipping through the book in the hope of seeing something more interesting. Again, his eyes met with something interesting which made his eyes shine in excitement. It was a page titled: The True Origin of Sorcery.

” Time for some junk science. ” He chuckled softly.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

” Its dinner time! ” The feminine voice said loudly at the other side of the door. ” Ill join you soon. ” Nuzar replied with a bright smile dancing on his lips. He hid the manuscript under his bamboo bed and lit the lamp at his bedside table. He then went to the window, pulled the window clothes together and exited the room noiselessly.
